Since January, Claassen Logistics from the Netherlands has been working with a new route planning system from PTV. OptiFlow offers better algorithms and wider setting possibilities, so planners no longer have to manually adjust the plan proposal. The benefits: less planning time and lower costs.

Unilever, a multinational consumer goods company, owns over 400 brands and operates in more than 190 countries. Its branch in Italy has recently embarked on an effort to make its logistics operations more sustainable – choosing to do so with PTV Route Optimiser software.

PTV Route Optimiser is a routing and scheduling tool for logistics operations. The software considers all truck attributes and restrictions, including environmental aspects such as emissions.

The Fileni Group is a major player in the national poultry and rabbit sector with a turnover of 531 million Euro. The company handles around 3,000 daily deliveries, reaching more than 9,400 customers every month. In addition to these, 80 trips are made daily for the internal supply chain (bringing feed to the farms, transporting animals within sites).

For deliveries, they can either use their own vehicles or rely on the Urbify platform with a network of transport partners. The planning of transports and routes runs via the Urbify software solution. It ensures that customer orders received in the online store by midnight can be delivered across Germany the very next day.

SPAR is an internationally recognized brand that was founded in the Netherlands 91 years ago. Today, the retailer operates 450 stores in its home country, spread across five different concepts, and also supplies 150 neutral stores. 

Textile cleaning company CleanLease, has a unique transport operation. The company has 27 locations in the Netherlands and Belgium, and almost ten times as many vehicles. Yet the company drives relatively few kilometers.

Codè Crai Ovest is one of the biggest supermarket chains in Northwest Italy, with 357 stores and annual sales of over 330 million euros.
