The Dordogne-based cooperative Rosedor Penja, specialized in the production and distribution of flowers and plants, has chosen to implement the PTV OptiFlow software developed by PTV Logistics. In addition to optimizing delivery plans for its depots, Rosedor Penja plans to leverage PTV OptiFlow as a strategic tool for designing its logistics network and supporting its commercial development.
PTV Logistics welcomes a new user of its route optimization software, PTV OptiFlow. The software provider has just signed an agreement with Rosedor Penja, a cooperative based in the French department of Dordogne (24), founded in 1971 and specialized in the production and distribution of flowers and plants. Each week, Rosedor Penja supplies nearly 4,000 retail professionals. To optimize the delivery plans of its 14 depots located in Western France and at the Rungis International Market (MIN), the cooperative has decided to adopt the PTV OptiFlow software.
This decision serves several strategic objectives. The first is to design optimized delivery plans for its depots, with the aim of reducing operating costs for its fleet, which consists of around fifty refrigerated trucks, heavy goods vehicles, and light commercial vehicles. The software will, for example, support Rosedor Penja in selecting vehicles based on the type of deliveries to be made. This approach also reflects a desire to improve work organization by running simulations to prioritize delivery routes based on revenue and integrating new customers into the plans.
The second, longer-term objective is to use PTV Logistics’ software as a decision-support tool to rethink the mapping of its depot network. Finally, PTV OptiFlow will play a key role in the company’s commercial development. It will help improve the organization of the 60 field sales representatives, who alternate between in-person and remote work, and are responsible for delivering to florists, evolving their roles, and generating additional sales with a focus on customer satisfaction.
“The quality of the discussions, the ability to run simulations on our depots, and the strong references of PTV Logistics quickly convinced us. More than just delivery optimization software, PTV OptiFlow will become a true decision-support tool for rethinking the efficiency of our distribution network and refining our commercial approach, to continue growing our business,” says Marie Leclercq, Deputy Director of Rosedor Penja.
PTV OptiFlow is currently being deployed at the Nantes site and will be operational in eight other depots by the end of September.
